Hello! I'm Sara and one of my greatest passions is helping others learn and achieve success. I first began tutoring as a high school student and that taste of tutoring helped me realize my passion for teaching. After teaching in a classroom setting for several years, including in schools overseas, I transitioned to tutoring students one-on-one online. My specializations include all elementary subjects, English, reading skills, writing, proofreading, and English as a Second Language. I have also taught and tutored in math, science, religious studies, American Sign Language, and beginning guitar and piano. One of my goals in tutoring is to equip my students with the skills and resources to boost their success and it is my joy to see my students succeed. American History

I have over ten years experience teaching both in the classroom and online. My repertoire of subjects includes American History, World History, and Geography. I have also worked with many students to improve their study skills in these subjects.

I am a pastor's wife with over ten years of ministry experience. I have written my own Bible studies and developed my own lessons and curriculum for teaching the Bible and religious topics. I have also completed some graduate coursework.

In addition to having a minor in elementary education, I have over ten years experience teaching and tutoring elementary students from preschool through 6th grade. I have tutored and taught all elementary subjects, with my specialties being reading skills, phonics, grammar, and writing. My experience with elementary subjects includes both time in the classroom and one-on-one online.

I have over twelve years experience teaching English, including English as a second language. Over half of that experience has been on online platforms. I am currently teaching my own three year old to read.

I hold my TESOL certifican. I have taught and tutored for over ten years and more than half of that teaching has been ESL. I have taught ESL to students of all ages, as young as 3 years old up through adults.

I started learning to play the guitar in the seventh grade and first began teaching during my junior year of high school. I focus primarily on teaching chords before we move on to learning notes and tablature. My style leans more towards bluegrass/gospel, but I also have experience with classical, folk, and some pop.

I am a former classroom teacher and one of the reasons I transitioned to tutoring online was to allow myself the freedom to be able to homeschool my own children when that time comes. Now I get to do just that! I homeschool my own children and wouldn't trade it for anything! I love helping other homeschooled students as well and I love providing parents with resources in their homeschool journey.

I first began learning American Sign Language at the age of twelve and have been interpreting in churches since my college years. I have worked with deaf in both the interpreting setting and in a camp setting. I have also taught ASL to beginners who desire to learn the language.
