Hello! I am a Florida-certified educator and proud alumnus of the University of Central Florida, where I earned my degree in Elementary Education (K-6). With seven years of teaching experience, I specialize in Math and Science, helping students master concepts by breaking them down into manageable, relatable pieces. I’m passionate about using real-world examples and tapping into students' interests to foster deeper connections and engagement with the material.

In addition to teaching, I’ve worked as an after-school tutor, supporting students who needed an extra push to stay on grade level. By giving them a “sneak peek” at upcoming concepts, I helped boost their confidence and enthusiasm for learning. This approach made students feel like part of a “secret club,” preparing them to engage more effectively when the material was introduced in class.

Throughout my career, I’ve taught in both in-person and virtual environments, using platforms like Zoom, Big Blue Button, Canvas, Kami, and Teachermade. This versatility has allowed me to adapt my teaching strategies to ensure all students feel supported and succeed, even in challenging circumstances.

Small-group instruction is central to my teaching philosophy. I focus on meeting students where they are and building their skills to reach grade-level benchmarks. My approach prioritizes quality over quantity, emphasizing a deep understanding of concepts through carefully selected problems and activities that encourage critical thinking and meaningful learning.

In Science, I make lessons hands-on and engaging, guiding students to explore, question, and document their findings. Whether solving multi-step math problems or conducting scientific investigations, my goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel confident, capable, and excited about their academic journey.
