An RN for 15 years, I hold a Master's Degree in nursing (MSN/ARNP) and have extensive experience as a Professor of Nursing. I have worked in a wide variety of nursing fields, including acute care, urgent care, ER, OR, outpatient surgery, home health and hospice. I have been a mentor and preceptor for nurses and students throughout my career. With years of experience in nursing education, I specialize in the the following nursing courses: nursing fundamentals, med/surg, pharmacology, pathophysiology, gerontology, mental health, leadership, community health, and theory. I help students prepare and PASS both NCLEX and HESI. Teaching in both the classroom and clinical setting allows me the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion for nursing with students that are eager to learn. A thorough understanding of each subject and the ability to apply the learned material is imperative in the nursing field, therefore I create an individualized plan for each student based on their specific learning needs. My tutoring approach includes a variety of methods that assist with comprehension and memorization. I assist my students with all aspects of research and writing assignments, including care plans.
My goal is to help my students SUCCEED! This includes passing exams, writing outstanding papers and care plans, and ultimately passing the NCLEX! I strive to equip my students with the tools that are necessary to be successful in their future nursing career.
