My background is in engineering and mathematics, however, my passion is for mathematics. I have a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelors degree in Mathematics. I have worked for over five years as a research engineer and have over five years experience teaching and tutoring mathematics at the grade school, high school, and college level. In addition, I have over 20 earned credit hours of graduate study in mathematics and therefore, in the state of Florida, I am qualified to teach any math class at the grade school, high school, and college level. My personal approach to tutoring is to become both a coach and mentor to the student by patiently catering to their needs for the subject which they are studying. I believe the best way to learn is by doing and the best way to do is by practicing.
With my background as an engineer I am accustomed to seeing math at work and applied to solving real-world problems on a daily basis. As a result I am able to draw on a countless number of examples of how Math is used to solve real, relevant problems. Therefore, because of my extensive background I am also able to tutor students in physics and engineering. I am open to working with any age group and any student who has a desire to learn these subjects.
