My name is Ron. I am a saxophone performer, instructor, clinician and historian. Whether your goal is to become a Jazz, Rock, Big Band or Classical Saxophonist, a strong, fundamental proficiency is a must. I guarantee your playing will improve if you follow my instructions and Take Some Time To Practice!

I have studied and in some cases performed with some of the greatest saxophonists in the U.S.A. and Europe. Dr. Larry Teal at the University of Michigan, the French Master, Jean-Marie Londeix and the noted soloist, Donald Sinta. I had the honor of receiving the "Premiere Prix du Concours" by the "Conservatoire Nationale de Musique de Dijon, Republique Francais" for saxophone performance. I was Jean-Marie Londeix's first foreign student and performed with him at 23 concert venues throughout France and Switzerland. While at Michigan I was awarded a teaching fellowship.

I've had 14-year-old students performing at college levels. My students receive first division Blue Ribbons at their solo and ensemble competitions. I will prepare you for your college auditions and do what I can to see you receive a scholarship. My beginners advance rapidly and are well ahead of their fellow band members. You will be able to perform utilizing the entire range of your saxophone with ease (bell keys, palm keys and the altissimo). You will feel comfortable using the the numerous alternate fingerings for rapidity. We will concentrate on breath control, embouchure, tonality, phrasing, precise articulation, sight reading and whatever is necessary to make you a better performer.

Personally, I enjoy having FUN! No one enjoys being pressured or demeaned. I want you to Feel Comfortable and Look Forward to Each and Every Lesson. You WILL be pleased with your progress.
