From Panic to Passing! Teacher, RN, NP tutor

Hi Everyone!! I am a certified teacher, RN and Nurse Practitioner. I have a strong clinical background in emergency medicine, trauma care, med surg and post operative. That hands-on experience gave me a practical understanding of assessment, prioritization, pharmacology, pathophysiology, IV therapy, critical care, patient education, and how nursing concepts actually translate into real-world clinical situations.

I especially enjoy working with nursing students who are preparing for the HESI, NCLEX, nursing school exams, or clinical rotations. My goal is not just to help you memorize content, but to help you understand how to think through questions the way a nurse does. We can work on prioritization, delegation, safety, pharmacology, lab interpretation, disease processes, patient scenarios, and identifying what the question is really asking. Studying to take the NCLEX and Hesi can be brutal but sometimes students need someone to show them a new approach to answering the questions, and then all of a sudden things click! There is nothing better than to excel at something you've struggled with.

I also understand firsthand how stressful standardized testing can be. I have never considered myself a naturally strong test taker, and I had to develop specific strategies to overcome test anxiety, second-guessing, and overthinking. Those strategies helped me successfully pass both my nursing boards and Nurse Practitioner boards, and I enjoy teaching students the same techniques—how to narrow down answer choices, recognize common question patterns, avoid distractors, prioritize safety, and approach difficult questions with a consistent framework.
