My name is Professor Rhonda Anderson, RN, MSN, CCRN-K, and I am excited to support you on your nursing journey. I have been a registered nurse for more than 42 years, including 36 years in advanced practice nursing, and have spent the last 14 years teaching in Associate and Bachelor of Science Nursing programs. During that time, I have taught students at every level, from first-semester nursing students to seniors preparing for graduation.

My clinical background is in adult critical care and includes trauma/neuroscience, cardiovascular care, cardiovascular surgery (adult and pediatric), medical-surgical intensive care, dialysis, and burn care. I have also taught a wide range of nursing courses, including pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, maternal-newborn nursing, pediatrics, mental health nursing, leadership, and ethics.

I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their clinical judgment, critical thinking, and nursing skills. Whether you need support with concept maps, care plans, exam preparation, or clinical reasoning, I am committed to helping you succeed. I work closely with students to apply the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model, develop personalized study strategies, improve test-taking skills, and reduce test anxiety so they can study smarter and perform at their best.

One of the most rewarding parts of my career has been helping students overcome challenges and achieve their goal of becoming a nurse. I am committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged, challenged, and empowered to succeed.

Anatomy

Anatomy

I have extensive expertise in teaching human anatomy, with a strong foundation in the structure and function of the human body and its application to nursing practice. I help students develop an understanding of anatomical relationships, physiological processes and clinical connections that support safe and effective patient care. My approach integrates active learning, critical thinking, and real-world clinical examples to enhance student comprehension and retention of complex anatomical concepts.
Nursing

Nursing

I help nursing students master challenging concepts, improve clinical judgement, and build confidence through personalized, evidence-based tutoring. With extensive experience in nursing education, I provide support with core nursing concepts, pharmacology, pathophysiology, care planning, NCLEX-style questions and exam preparation. My goal is to help students not just memorize information, but understand how to apply knowledge safely and effectively in clinical practice.
Pharmacology

Pharmacology

I have extensive experience teaching pharmacology to nursing students helping them to understand medication classifications, mechanisms of actions, therapeutic uses, adverse effects, contraindications and safe medication administration. My teaching emphasizes clinical judgement by integrating pharmacology concepts into realistic patient scenarios and NCLEX-style application questions. I focus on promoting medication safety, dosage calculation accuracy, and evidence-based nursing interventions while preparing students to confidently apply pharmacological principles in both the classroom and clinical settings.
Physiology

Physiology

As an experienced nursing educator, I specialize in helping students master human physiology by transforming complex concepts into clear, understandable, and clinically relevant knowledge. I help students connect physiological processes to patient care, disease conditions, and nursing practice, helping students build confidence and improve performance.
