Hi, I’m Tami.

I help students build executive functioning skills-organizational, planning, task initiation, and follow-through- so that daily school stress becomes confidence and independence.

I am a certified Executive Functioning and Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Specialist through the Florida Department of Education, with additional licensure in Secondary Education. I specialize in supporting students who struggle with executive functioning skills, including organization, motivation, focus, task initiation, academic confidence, and anxiety management.

I work extensively with students who have ADHD, learning differences, IEPs or 504 plans, and alternative learning or processing styles. My approach is structured, supportive, and individualized, meeting students exactly where they are while helping them build the skills they need to move forward with confidence.

My background includes reading and writing instruction, executive functioning development, test preparation, and personalized academic coaching. I focus on teaching practical, repeatable strategies—planning and prioritization, breaking down assignments, time management, and effective study and preparation routines—so students feel more in control of their academic demands.

I believe meaningful progress happens when students feel safe, understood, and supported. I partner closely with families and, when appropriate, classroom teachers to align goals, expectations, and strategies, creating steady and sustainable growth.

When students feel encouraged and capable, they thrive. I would be honored to partner with your family to strengthen essential skills, build confidence, and support lasting academic success.

ADHD

ADHD

I received my Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Specialist Certification through the state of Florida and have over 20 years of experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, emotional-regulation challenges, and other processing-related learning needs. My mastery methodology specializes in strengthening these learning needs. Through the development and application of a student-centered approach, each learner discovers their unique metacognitive awareness (a student's understanding of how they approach learning and comprehension). This increased awareness results in decreased academic anxiety, improved organization, stronger planning and task-initiation skills, increased ability to emotionally regulate, and measurable improvement in academic grades. Over time, learners experience academic success and learner independence that begins the journey of advocating confidently for themselves in and beyond the classroom.
