I have been an attorney since 1987. I was a Barrister in London from 1987 until I moved to the United States in 2010. As a Barrister, I established a successful practice, primarily in Criminal and Family Law. When I moved to Florida, Florida did not accept my British qualifications and required me to complete an American Bar Association approved law school curriculum. I worked as a Paralegal in an Insurance Defense work while I completed law school (from May, 2012 to December, 2014) and passed the Florida Bar Exam (February 2015). Immediately upon passing the Bar Exam, I became an attorney in that firm where I remained until November, 2016 when I became an Assistant Public Defender in the 12th Judicial Circuit. In May, 2018, I moved to the State Attorney's Office and I have been an Assistant State Attorney since that time. I have worked in the felony divisions of both the Public Defender and State Attorney's Office and have defended and prosecuted literally thousands of cases from misdemeanor petit theft through to homicides. I am currently in the Capital Sex Crimes and Crimes Against Children division. Throughout my long career, I have always been a trial attorney and have experience in all forms of law including employment, contract, personal injury and criminal work. I have also completed law school twice in my life, once in England and once in the United States, graduating Magna cum Laude each time.
