During my undergraduate degree, I was the lead tutor for the Writing Center at my college where I trained tutors and held workshops in addition to tutoring full time. I then taught a summer writing program at my college to prepare freshman students for the academic year. Amid the pandemic, I began tutoring middle school and high school students in English with a focus on writing. Today, I'm an English teacher at a private school in Florida.

I received my bachelor's degree in linguistics from the State University of New York at Oswego in 2018. Along with my fellow classmates in the final linguistics course of the degree, Investigating Language: An Applied Capstone Course, our purpose was to construct a grammar through the utilization of all aspects of linguistics and other relevant disciplines in the interest of finding a well rounded analysis and description of the target language, Maninka. In order to be eligible to graduate, I was required to present my paper, which focused on the morphology of a particular verb, at my college's spring symposium, Quest.
