Best Tutor!
Amy, 18 lessons with GildaGilda is absolutely phenomenal. I've only been with her a little over a month now but I've learned more Spanish from her than 3 months worth of group classes, duolingo, rosetta stone, and countless other audio/visual methods combined. As a retired language teacher, Gilda knows how to properly teach an adult a brand new language in a fun and creative way so it sticks! She's truly amazing and I'd recommend her to anyone.

Gilda is teaching me German! We started our first lesson and I knew she would be the tutor for me! She is patient and goes at your pace and makes sure all your questions are asked and answered. She is very excitable in what she teaches and it inspire you to push through getting to the level she is! She also gave some helpful tips and tricks on ways to memorize your vocabulary to better better your conversional skills later on.

Learning a new language will never be described as an easy task. It takes a lot of time, dedication and consistency to learn amother language properly. Gilda facilitates a very positive learning environment to help build a strong foundation for learning a new language. Her lessons are structured very well and easy to understand. I have been taking lessons for Russian with Gilda for 5 weeks now, and i have already learned so much; it has been a very you rewarding experience thus far! If you are considering learning Russian, or any other language on her list I highly recommend giving Gilda P. a shot. And always remember: Practice makes perfect!

I took lessons with Gilda as a program of self-study for the German language. Before we began, we discussed my goals and expectations for the tutoring sessions and set realistic, achievable goals for the study. At the first class, she had me take a diagnostic exam to determine my weakest and strongest areas. Then, for much of the class we worked through a German textbook, with robust supplementary materials supplied by Gilda for further practice. Our lessons focused on grammar, vocabulary, usage, and reading comprehension, with practice in writing as well as conversation. As we progressed, Gilda did a great job of balancing clear and accessible explanations with more in-depth practice with the material at hand. What's more, Gilda was also extremely responsive to questions; if she did not know the answer to my question, she would always come back the next week with a well-researched response. Gilda's positive, cheerful, encouraging demeanor was also balanced nicely by her willingness to push me beyond my comfort zone and help me get the most out of my lessons. She is a natural teacher, and it is easy to see she is passionate about languages and language learning. Gilda was always punctual with our meetings and I never had a problem with rescheduling or canceling sessions. At several points over the course of our lessons, we would also discuss my progress and whether there was anything else I wanted to focus on or see in more depth. On our mutually-agreed upon final session, Gilda gave me the same diagnostic test I had taken in the beginning so I could see my progress. My goal was go reach a solid B1 level of German (based on CEFR standards), and I am pleased to say that I passed a B1 exam from the Goethe Institut at the conclusion of our classes. The progress I made with Gilda was achievable, realistic and measurable. I would recommend her highly to anyone seeking to begin or improve their language skills.

She met with my daughter for an hour, evaluated her skills, gave her helpful information and offered her opinion that at this point, she didn't see the need for my daughter to have a tutor.
