Teaching has always felt like the place where everything I love comes together—helping kids grow, finding creative ways to explain new ideas, and building confidence one step at a time. As the owner of Kathleen Cares Tutoring, I bring more than 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience to every session. I’m a certified Florida educator in K–6, Reading, and Special Education (K–12), with an endorsement in ASD, a B.S. in Elementary Education, and a Master of Education in Instructional Technology. Whether I’m supporting a beginning reader, guiding a middle-schooler through writing, or helping a high-school student stay organized, I’m here to make learning feel doable and even enjoyable.
Families often tell me that I’m patient, thoughtful, and exceptionally good at understanding what each student needs. I take pride in being resourceful and kind—qualities that help students feel comfortable enough to take risks and try new strategies. One of my primary goals is always to build each student’s self-esteem, because confident learners are willing learners. I truly enjoy working with students of all ages and learning differences, and I tailor every session to support their strengths while gently strengthening the areas where they need support. When your child works with me, they get more than a tutor—they get someone who genuinely cares, listens, and believes in their potential.
