My educational background equips me to tutor effectively in English, writing, and humanities. I hold a Master of Arts in Instructional Technology and Media from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in English and Creative Writing from the University of Miami. My certification in Elementary Education K-6 for Florida is pending fingerprint results, and then I’ll be good to go! This academic foundation enables me to present complex concepts in writing and humanities in a clear and engaging manner for students.

I have teaching and tutoring experience primarily with elementary and middle school students. From 2017 to 2018, I worked as an associate teacher at The Quad Preparatory School, providing tailored instruction in writing, humanities, and math to gifted students with special needs. I employed individualized methods, such as hands-on activities and creative exercises, to address diverse learning styles and led a theatre enrichment group to foster creative expression. Additionally, from 2015 to 2016, I served as a curriculum developer at Oddcast, creating interactive lessons aligned with Common Core Standards to make learning engaging and accessible. My teaching approach emphasizes building confidence and curiosity, whether in one-on-one or small group settings, making me well-suited to tutor students aged 6 to 14 in classroom or personalized contexts.
