My name is Rasak and I am a sophomore at the University of Florida pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting and a minor in statistics. My academic background has provided me with with a strong foundation in subjects such as financial accounting, micro and macro-economics, and all levels of math. Through my coursework, I’ve developed a solid understanding of key accounting principles and problem-solving strategies, which I enjoy sharing with others who may be struggling to grasp the material. As far as qualifications, I have gotten As in all of the classes I plan on tutoring and a perfect score on the SAT math. I know the tricks they try implement and I also know how to best prepare the student to combat that.
My tutoring career started out informally, aiding classmates with challenging homework assignments and exam preparation. I came to see that I had a talent for simplifying ideas so that they were more understandable. My experience has mostly been peer-based and one-on-one, but I've always had good reviews for being trustworthy, encouraging, and transparent. I try to establish a relaxed, concentrated learning atmosphere where students are at ease asking questions or needing me to go over something again.
With that being said, I do have formal experience as a tutor with EndGame Chess. I served as a one on one tutor, helping middle schoolers learn the basics and foundations of chess including openings, endgames, tactics, and overall pattern recognition. I believe with this experience I gained valuable insight on how to best serve the student. I also have experience as a private tutor which I am currently doing and tutoring caluclus and SAT prep.
In the end, I believe I have the expertise, qualifications, and most importantly, the patience required to excel in helping high schoolers and college students become comfortable and confident in their classes.
