Hi there! I have been tutoring on my own for quite some time, however, I have now branched out to Wyzant in order to help more students succeed! I hold a degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University. My academic background is in neuroscience and criminal justice, with undergraduate research experience in neuroscience, drug development, and behavioral science. I’ve completed internships in the criminal justice field, gaining insight into both social and psychological dimensions of human behavior. For the past several years, I’ve tutored and mentored K–12 students both online and in person, including those with learning disabilities. My tutoring spans core academic subjects, as well as standardized test preparation for the ACT and SAT. I adapt my teaching methods to fit each student’s needs—whether that's breaking down complex topics with visual aids, reinforcing learning through active recall and spaced repetition, or building confidence through positive reinforcement. My approach is flexible, student-centered, and grounded in both evidence-based strategies and real-world experience. Keeping learning fun is and engaging is my goal!

Great Tutor!

I had a wonderful experience working with Ms. R. She helped me better understand the material in my online math class and made challenging concepts much clearer. When I was stuck on homework, she patiently guided me through the problems step by step and explained things in a way that finally clicked. Before doing homework, she also gave me a quick rundown of each topic in my module. By the end of the session, I felt more confident and prepared to continue working on my assignments on my own.
