Hello there! My name is Mary and I am a Korean American teacher in the U.S! I've always been a teacher of the classroom, but I'm expanding my experience to remote learning so that I can effectively teach and impact students globally!

I have 9 years of experience in teaching and 3 years of formal classroom experience. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and I’m currently pursuing a M.Ed.

As much as I enjoyed being in the classroom, I fell in love with tutoring because of the 1-on-1 interaction that allows a much more personal bond and increased learning/growth rate!

As an American-born Korean American tutor, here are some specific benefits you could be taking advantage of:

-4 years of experience teaching Korean at a Korean Language school
-As a native Korean and English speaker, I have no accent and this will make communication much smoother between you and me!
-Lives in the U.S. so session times will be more suitable to those in the States.
-Understands both Korean and American culture well (Kdrama, Kpop, Korean shows, news, American shows, news, and current events, etc.)
-Being a certified teacher, I have extensive experience in making developmentally appropriate lesson plans and will be able to create an individual curriculum catered to YOUR learning desires, needs, and pace!
-Being a younger teacher, I am very tech savvy, but if that’s not for you I am very much experienced in textbook work as well - whatever YOU need, we’ll do it!
