While in law school, I received CALI Book Awards for earning the highest grades in 2 courses - Liability Insurance and Legal Regulation of the Employment Relationship. I took the Connecticut Bar Exam in 1996 and the Florida Bar Exam in 1999 and in each case, got very high scores on the multistate exam. I obtained my BA degree from Drew University with a degree in political science finishing with a 3.69 GPA.
As a practicing attorney, I have been the instructor in 3 continuing legal education seminars in which I produced all of the course material. The seminars were in a classroom setting and were very interactive as the students, who were practicing attorneys, were encouraged to ask questions. I believe the key to learning and teaching law is through the Socratic method (question and answer format) with a lot of repetition.
