Hi there! It’s great to meet you. My name is Pranav, and I’m a medical student at Florida Atlantic University. With over five years of tutoring experience and certification in Florida as a math teacher, I’ve had the privilege of working with students at various levels, including remedial and honors, in Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1/2.

I understand that math and science can pose difficulties for students with anxiety, ADHD, or other diverse needs. I’ve had the experience of working with students who have struggled with these subjects, and I’m committed to helping them succeed.I believe that academic success begins with fostering an environment where questions can be asked freely, without fear of judgment. This approach helps build not only confidence in the subject matter but also in your capacity to learn independently, even without the support of a tutor.

In addition to my experience in mathematics, I have also tutored students in the SAT/ACT, high school and general/introductory chemistry, and high school and general/introductory biology. My academic background is robust. I attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, consistently ranked among the top high schools in the country. I later continued my education through the guaranteed medicine (BS/MD) program at Florida Atlantic University on a full scholarship. I was a National Merit Scholar, achieving a 99th percentile score on the SAT and ACT. Before medical school, I also scored a 90th percentile on the MCAT.

To ensure a good fit, I provide a complimentary 30-minute session or a discounted full-hour session for you to experience working with me. Furthermore, I offer a complementary 15-20 minute post-session discussion to review the session, assess if we’re a good fit, and address any concerns from either child or parent.

I provide tutoring in one-on-one settings or in small groups of up to four people, with group discounts available. I’m available to tutor in person or online, depending on your preference.

ADHD

ADHD

Hi! I’m a licensed high school teacher and current medical student with a strong background working with students of all learning styles. I previously taught in self-contained inclusion classrooms where all students had an IEP or 504 plan, with common conditions including anxiety, ADHD, and other learning differences. I supported many students with IEPs and 504 plans by providing input into their plans and adjusting instruction to meet their unique needs. I understand how traditional classroom settings can be challenging, especially for students with attention or processing difficulties, and I bring patience, structure, and flexibility to every tutoring session. My goal is to help your child build confidence and achieve success by meeting them where they are and supporting their unique learning needs.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I have taught Algebra 2 and other high school math courses to students at various levels, adapting my lessons to meet each learner’s needs. As a former high school math teacher and current medical student, I bring a unique blend of practical teaching experience and advanced scientific knowledge. My approach focuses on making challenging concepts accessible and helping students build confidence through clear explanations and personalized support. I’m passionate about helping students improve their problem-solving skills and achieve academic success.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I’m currently pursuing a medical degree (MD) with a prior major in neuroscience for my undergraduate studies. My academic journey has necessitated the completion of general chemistry, AP chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry, along with the corresponding laboratory classes. I’ve consistently achieved an A in all of these subjects. Additionally, I have three years of experience tutoring chemistry and have previously worked as a teacher, gaining valuable experience in interacting with students.
College Counseling

College Counseling

Hi. I am a current medical student and a former high school teacher, which means I have had the unique opportunity to be on both sides of the admissions process. From reviewing applications for incoming college students during undergrad, writing rec letters, or writing my own personal statements, I have been extensively involved in all parts of the process through my work settings as well as extensive non-profit work that aimed to improve college access for students.
Genetics

Genetics

Hi there! I’m currently a MD student who completed genetics and cell biology during my undergraduate studies. I also have extensive laboratory experience manipulating genomes, including creating vectors with plasmids, performing gel electrophoresis to analyze genomes, and western blotting. Additionally, I worked with mice breeding to observe specific phenotypes.
MCAT

MCAT

I took the MCAT exam and received a 91st percentile score (515) with a 131 CARS score (>99th percentile). My extensive experience as a teacher and being a current medical student makes me well prepared to guide you through the elusive CARS section and the MCAT while providing test-taking strategies. I have been involved in volunteer MCAT tutoring for other organizations and look forward to leveraging my experience to help you succeed.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

I have a BS in Cellular Neuroscience from FAU. I have also worked on research at the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience and gained experience with the cutting-edge frontier techniques being used today.
SAT Math

SAT Math

My SAT score was a 1500 and ACT score was 35. Additionally, I ranked above 90% percent of all test takers for the Medical College Admissions Test before continuing to medical school. I have previous tutoring experience for standardized tests previously and my approach involves addressing knowledge gaps so that the student can apply the specific skill to different types of problems.
SSAT

SSAT

I attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology from 2016 to 2020. During that time, the admissions process involved a 100-question test that mimicked the SHSAT or SSAT. This test assessed logic, verbal reasoning, and math skills. Additionally, there was a timed four-essay, two-hour written response portion. In this section, students were required to write three personal reflections and one math essay. The math essay required a detailed narrative explanation of how to find a solution to a math problem and provide a clear explanation of the solution.
TEAS

TEAS

As a former high school teacher, current medical student, and someone involved with many non-profits over the last five years, college readiness has been a cornerstone of my work. From the SAT and ACT to TEAS and other tests, I have been tutoring students for 3+ years, with a focus on the STEM portions of these exams.

The Most Effective Tutor Ive Ever Had

Not only am I able to understand the concepts in math (my worst subject) better than I could with any other tutor, but the materials and suggestions he provides for how I can better understand the concepts outside of our tutoring sessions are also very helpful. I would recommend him to anyone struggling in algebra, trigonometry, or calculus.

Knowledgable and thorough tutor

Pranav was an amazing tutor for CARS. He was super thorough and always broke things down in a way that actually made sense. I liked how organized he was and how he worked with me anytime I was confused or stuck on something. Honestly, because of him, I’ve started seeing way more improvement and I’m getting a lot more answers right on my passages now. Definitely recommend!!

MCAT (CARS)

Pranav has truly helped me improve my understanding of CARS (MCAT) and expanded my knowledge of how native speakers interpret them. He introduced me to a whole new world of rich and expressive English vocabulary. Even though my academic English wasn’t strong, he was always patient, kind, and encouraging. His enthusiasm for teaching and willingness to help made a big difference. I’m really grateful for his support and guidance—it’s been an eye-opening and inspiring experience.

Very Patient

Pranav taught me in a calm manner which made me comfortable asking him a ton of questions of what I wanted to know until it eventually clicked in me. He's also flexible in sharing some of his tutoring work lessons after the meeting. I'll definitely be asking more help from him from now on.

Highly recommend Pranav!

Pranav was a great tutor for my 11th grade Chemistry. He was really patient and took the time to answer my questions. He explained things in a way that was easy to understand and made sure I felt comfortable with the material. Thanks to him, I feel ready and confident for my test tomorrow. I'm really glad I had his help!

Grateful for Pranav's tutoring

I am incredibly pleased with Pranav's tutoring! He was exceptionally patient and knowledgeable, which was exactly what my daughter needed. He has a real knack for helping students focus, something that was a challenge for her before. Pranav helped her prepare for a significant math test, and the results were remarkable. She saw a dramatic improvement in her score, going from struggling to demonstrating a solid understanding of the material. I am so grateful for his dedication and would highly recommend Pranav to anyone looking for a skilled and supportive math tutor.
