¡Hola! I’m a native Spanish speaker from Peru, a Florida-certified K–12 Spanish teacher, and an experienced educator with over 15 years of teaching experience. I hold both a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Language Education–Spanish and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Central Florida. Throughout my career, I have taught high school students in Spanish 1 through Spanish 4, AP Spanish Language and Culture, AP Spanish Literature and Culture, and Spanish for Spanish Speakers. I also serve as an AP Spanish Language and Culture Reader, giving me valuable insight into College Board expectations and the skills students need to succeed on the AP exam.
My teaching approach focuses on making Spanish understandable, engaging, and relevant to each student's goals. I tailor instruction to individual proficiency levels, learning styles, and academic needs, whether a student is learning Spanish for the first time, struggling with coursework, preparing for an exam, or developing conversational fluency. I provide clear explanations, structured practice, constructive feedback, and opportunities to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while strengthening grammar, vocabulary, and cultural understanding.
I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence. For students preparing for AP Spanish Language and Culture or AP Spanish Literature and Culture, I incorporate targeted practice and strategies aligned with College Board expectations. For beginners and students taking Spanish 1–4, I break down challenging concepts into manageable steps and connect classroom learning to practical communication. My goal is to help students improve their grades, strengthen their language skills, and develop a lasting appreciation for Spanish. I look forward to helping each student reach their full potential!
