About Vincent

Bio

Hey I am Vincent! I am a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate from USF.

I previously worked with Mathnasium for 11 months, where I taught students from kindergarten all the way up to 12th grade. In addition, I have tutored dozens of students on Wyzant and another tutoring platform. As a result, my teaching style is a mix of direct teaching and indirect teaching. I like to first directly teach the concept, then indirectly lead the students to the question.

SAT Math

I took the SAT in 11th grade and got a 620. I took it again in 12th grade and scored a 700. As a freshman in college, I am getting perfect scores on practice tests. The biggest tips for my improvement is to learn algebra and geometry slightly beyond the SAT. Every problem can be solved through intuition and basic algebra, but knowing a certain formula or rule can help answer a question in seconds.

One of my main problems with the writing section is running out of time. By running through College Panda writing, I was able to improve my score from -12 to -7. My biggest tip for the writing section is to first learn the grammar rules, then learn to identify the grammar rules that apply to each question. This will help not run out of time but instead be confident in your answers
