While I managed a team of translators for a large corporation, I made money tutoring a co-worker's children one day a week. My time as a tutor proved to be beneficial for the children, as their curiosity about the different customs made them appreciate foreign lands.
Before I learned English, I learned Spanish at the age of five. Eventually, my family moved back to the US, where I managed to parlay those skills into a job managing a department of translators for a credit insurance company. Our primary task was to translate credit reports from Spanish into English and vice versa.
