Hi, I'm Izrael! I work as a special needs educator in the sunny state of Florida. I am currently teaching middle school math and reading at a school for students with learning disabilities. I have been teaching for over 10 years, and I have worked with students in grades as low as 2nd and as high as 8th. Besides working as a classroom teacher, I have had the opportunity to serve as a math and reading interventionist in public and private schools, providing targeted support to students who were significantly behind grade level.
I use multi-sensory strategies for both math and reading. I have found it to be the most effective method for not only engaging students but also for increasing retention and understanding, because it is a method that engages every part of the brain.
As a tutor, I have three values that I NEVER compromise: commitment, communication, and consistency.
