In addition to having a strong grasp of grammar and a sharp eye for details, I am well versed in the APA, MLA, and Chicago-Turabian format and citation styles (and also have some experience with AMA and NLM). I have more than 10 years of experience revising doctoral dissertations, Masters Theses, books, websites, articles, academic papers, and more. I enjoy editing and proofreading both synchronously and asynchronously, and I would be glad to work with you according to your preference.

I also enjoy and have extensive experience providing writing assistance and ESL tutoring. I am certified in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) through Bridge Education Group. From 2003-2007, I taught English in Malaysia to secondary and post-secondary school students at two learning centers, developed curriculum and a program syllabus, and led field trips and English camps. I also became fluent in the Malay language and helped facilitate village home-stays for foreigners who were visiting Malaysia.

After returning to the US, I volunteered for several years as an ESL tutor for refugees from Somalia, the Congo, Myanmar, and elsewhere. I have been tutoring with Wyzant since 2013, covering a range of subjects and specializing in the areas of proofreading, editing, ESL, writing, and grammar.

I enjoy writing, sports, traveling, and international food and culture. I currently live with my wife and daughter in South Carolina. My wife and I are originally from Canton, Ohio.

I maintain an online blog with an increasing number of Bible studies and teachings on various subjects related to the Bible and history. I have more than 10 years of experience assisting students with essay writing. This experience includes four years of classroom teaching and both in-person and virtual tutoring. My focus as an essay writing tutor includes the fundamentals of thesis statements, topic sentences, quality introductions and conclusions, and organizing papers.

Since 2012, I have edited numerous academic papers, including Master's theses and doctoral dissertations. I am especially familiar with APA and MLA format requirements, and I also have experience with Chicago-Turabian and AMA format standards. Patient and thorough

I have been setting up sessions for my 11 year old who has had some issues with critical thinking and essay writing. Adam is wonderful in listening to my concerns and addressing my concerns.
