Hi I'm Jennifer! I’m a Registered Nurse with 6 years of clinical experience and a passion for helping nursing students succeed. I graduated from the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing with a Diploma in Nursing, where I passed my NCLEX on my first attempt, and later earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Delaware.

In nursing school, I was constantly overwhelmed by the mass amount of information poured into us in a short span of time, and at times was difficult for me to process all of that information. I’ve always been a visual and hands on learner myself, so I understand how frustrating it can be when a concept is explained one way but just doesn’t “click.” I love finding different ways to break down challenging material and make it easier to understand and remember. My goal is not just to help students memorize information, but to help them develop the critical-thinking skills needed to apply what they’ve learned to exams, clinical, and ultimately their nursing careers.

Throughout my nursing career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings, including Medical-Surgical, Stepdown/IMU, Cardiac, ER Holds, and PACU. This experience has given me a strong foundation in nursing fundamentals while also helping me understand how concepts connect to real-world patient care.

I have found that teaching has always been one of my favorite parts of nursing. I have had the opportunity to work with nursing students during clinical experiences and have precepted new graduate and experienced RNs. I genuinely enjoy watching someone go from feeling unsure about a concept to having that “aha!” moment.
