During my MCAT preparation, I adopted a highly structured, personalized study method, using Anki flashcards, full-length practice exams under test-day conditions, and over 3,000 independently reviewed practice questions. My official AAMC practice scores ranged from 508 to 519, providing valuable insight into score improvement and exam strategy.
As an MCAT tutor, I aim to help students study efficiently, strategically, and confidently. I work with each student to develop a personalized study plan based on their background, strengths, weaknesses, and test date. Sessions focus on passage analysis, test-taking strategies, deductive reasoning, and data interpretation, as well as targeted content review in biology, biochemistry, physics, chemistry (both general and organic), psychology, and sociology.
I emphasize learning how to systematically approach MCAT passages, filter out irrelevant information, identify key details, and interpret complex graphs and pathways. I also teach students how to review practice exams effectively so that every question becomes a learning opportunity. My ultimate goal is for students to feel confident tackling the MCAT independently and maximizing their scores on test day.
In addition to MCAT tutoring, I have experience tutoring college students in Biology, Chemistry, Algebra I, and Algebra II, and I am comfortable teaching Psychology, Sociology, Biochemistry, and related subjects.
