Hi, my name is Ambrose! I'm currently an undergraduate student at Princeton University studying Aerospace Engineering, but I have a passion for teaching all things STEM. As both a tutor and a student myself, I’ve found that the greatest connections I’ve formed and moments of understanding I’ve encountered have come not from the most structured lessons but from casual moments. In fact, my inspiration to become a tutor came from a conversation I had with a teacher passing by lunch one day! I offhandedly mentioned how much I was struggling with a concept in AP Physics C, and he jokingly mentioned a little mental trick that helped him as a student. When the test came, it was that small conversation that not only helped me succeed but also reassured me that everyone struggled with the material at some point and eventually found their way through. My tutoring style focuses on the mental models that make difficult concepts intuitive and turn tough problems into exciting puzzles to solve.
Academically, I graduated top of my class from the Hill School before attending Princeton. I earned school-wide awards in physics and mathematics, led our school’s math team to its first-ever championship, and achieved the highest GPA in the school. In engineering, I developed an app that won the Congressional App Challenge in 2024, was an AFRL Scholars Intern in 2025, and am currently conducting NSF-funded research with the Aerospace Engineering department at Iowa State University. I earned the AP Scholar with Distinction honor for earning several 5s on AP Tests, as well as a Presidential Scholar candidacy. Throughout high school, I tutored in subjects including Algebra, Precalculus, AP and Multivariable Calculus, AP Physics C, and Web Design.
Feel free to reach out! I'm always happy to talk through what you're working on and see if I'm a good fit. I’m available online in the evenings throughout the week and all weekend long, and I'm always a phone call or text away for a quick question or a bit of advice.
