Hi, I’m Dr. Chaudhry — a resident physician with 8+ years of tutoring experience, here to help you master your exams without wasting time. I specialize in high-yield, strategic prep for the MCAT, USMLE Step 1/2, clerkship shelf exams, pre-clinical exams, and undergraduate STEM courses. I also specialize in medical school admissions coaching—including personal statement editing.

Credentials: I’m a USMD resident. During medical school, I spent the majority of my free time tutoring M2-3’s struggling with STEP studying in a 1 on 1 environment. Here, I worked on designing custom study plans and catering to a learner’s individual needs.

What my students have achieved:
1. Scored 255+ on STEP 2
2. Remediated shelf/clerkship exams with confidence
3. Raised MCAT scores significantly while studying less
4. Aced neuroscience, psych, and chem coursework

I specialize in offering tutoring services to:
1. First-year med students who want USMLE prep early!
2. Nontraditional & post-bac students looking for structure
3. Time-crunched students (exam in a week? We’ll make it count)
4. Neurodivergent learners or anyone with different learning needs
5. Students needing flexible pricing options
6. Anyone looking to boost their C/P, CARS scores for the MCAT

In our first session, I’ll review your scores (UWorld %, course grades, NBME/CBSSE if applicable), your goals, and your learning style. Then we’ll build an efficient plan that works for you. Whether you're a visual learner, benefit from active recall, or need conversation-based review, I adapt my style to match yours.

My sessions are interactive and focused on long-term retention. I use methods like spaced repetition, targeted quizzing, and “brain hacks” to make difficult content stick. I’m here for the life-long learning.

Still not sure? I offer free 15 minute consultations. Just message me with a request, and we’ll meet- at no cost or risk to you!

ADHD

ADHD

I'm a fourth year medical student and tutor who has one year of experience working one-on-one with learners who have ADHD. I have experience helping learners develop their organizational and learning skills, usually through small, learner-focused lessons. Additionally, I know how to help create comprehensive study plans that are achievable. Key to all of this, in my opinion, is learner involvement. I use interactive techniques and methods to help individuals with ADHD stay engaged- and therefore retain more.
Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

I have tutored K-6 in both group and one-on-one settings for approximately 1 and a half years. In the past, I have volunteered to help hearing impaired children understand/improve on their school work. Additionally, I have spent 3 months tutoring struggling 6th graders improve their failing chemistry and English grades. I have experience teaching in both a group setting as well as in one-on-one settings.

MCAT

MCAT

As a fourth year medical student, I am familiar with how daunting it feels to have to study for the MCAT. I have spent two years teaching study strategies and question-analysis skills that will be helpful for the MCAT and other board exams to come. I will make a study plan with you and go over some of the most common questions that you will see on the MCAT.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

I am a fourth year medical student (M.D. candidate) with a Bachelors in neuroscience. I have always found neuroscience fascinating. I tutored this subject most often in med school and have written several research papers within neurology! I will work with you one on one to understand the fundamentals of neuroscience, how the CNS works, and some of the most important studies/discoveries in the field. I like to help students create a study plan and walk them through easy ways of understanding this topic!
Personal Statements

Personal Statements

I have spent the last few years editing college application essays on a volunteer basis through a group in my medical school. I enjoy helping young college writers find their "voice." While I mainly have experience editing medical school admission personal statements, I have also proofread and edited general college application essays. My goal is to help you highlight the best parts of yourself ! In general, I tend to place emphasis on the structure, flow, and comprehensiveness of an essay.
Pharmacology

As a first-year resident physician with a background in neuroscience and biochemical pharmacology, I bring a unique perspective to teaching pharmacology. I specialize in breaking down complex concepts and making them accessible, even to those new to the subject. I have a deep understanding of the biochemical foundations and clinical applications of pharmacology, and I can help you connect theory with practice. Whether you’re preparing for exams, struggling with challenging material, or just want to deepen your understanding, I’m here to help you master pharmacology in a way that makes sense for you.

I have worked with students in a one on one setting to review key SAT concepts and go through test taking strategies to boost their scores on the SAT math section. I helped tutor for approximately 3-4 months before transitioning to teach other math subjects. I like to help students create a study plan that's personalized and addresses their weaknesses.
SAT Reading

SAT Reading

I have been tutoring standardized exam skills and test taking strategies for greater than 2 years. I tutor college and high school aged individuals using a “student led” approach. I avoid lecturing students and prefer to teach them through discussion and Q&A style methods. I make most things into PPT slides, which I’ll send after each lesson so you can reference them.
Sociology

Sociology

As a part of my bachelors, I had to take several different sociology and psychology courses, achieving greater than a 90% in each course. I know how to explain these concepts to any college student.
United States History

United States History

- I have worked for 2-3 years on a volunteer basis helping college and high school students understand their subjects more thoroughly. I have experience taking AP US history, US government, and AP world history. I have tutored these subjects to young adult learners who didn't grow up here - helping them understand history so they know what shaped the current socio-cultural context we live in. As someone who views learners as our next generation, I am passionate about making history understandable.
USMLE

USMLE

I successfully passed Step 1 on the first attempt and scored well on Step 2. Since then, I've tutored both Step 1 and Step 2 - helping students boost their scores and improve their clerkship performance. I enjoy working with medical students to create study plans that work for them! In the past, I have made individualized study plans and gone through common clinical vignettes with my students. Our teaching sessions will be more question and answer based than lecture format .

Absolutely amazing, knowledgeable tutor!

Are you struggling with neuroscience? Do you need help breaking down complex med or vet school topics? If so, Maaria is who you want to go to. I cannot stress enough how much value I got out of our session, and I immediately booked more sessions with her. She is thoughtful, INCREDIBLY patient, and puts so much effort into teaching and creating materials. She is honestly one of the best tutors I have ever worked with. She's also funny and helps to find analogies and acronyms that make memorizing the material easier. I am so grateful for her help and I am actually looking forward to studying for my neuro final this week after our session and her help.

Med Student Step Prep Review - Initial

Review for: Dr. Maaria C. Rating: 5+ I contacted Dr. Maaria C. for Step 2 tutoring, but she offered to begin working with me immediately to support my Step 1 prep. I am so glad I said yes — she quickly became an essential part of my performance strategy and confidence-building plan. Since May 12, we've worked together almost daily in 2-hour sessions. Dr. C. has helped me tighten my knowledge gaps, build strategic test-taking skills, and shift my mindset in ways that have truly changed how I approach questions and talk to myself during prep. That alone is invaluable. She is deeply knowledgeable and incredibly flexible in how she teaches—one minute, we're drawing diagrams, the next, drilling NBME-style logic, reviewing Anki cards, or building custom question sets in Amboss. She takes note of how I learn best and adjusts accordingly. She even helps create Anki flashcards and study tools so I can be more efficient outside of sessions. But it's not just about content. She's attuned to the mental, emotional, and logistical demands of being a medical student, especially a nontraditional one like me. She reframes negative self-talk, helps me refocus when I feel overwhelmed, and genuinely creates a space where I feel capable again. She's also willing to adjust session times, pacing, and cost considerations based on need—a rare and generous trait in a tutor. Dr. C. is honest, humble, and constantly seeking feedback to improve sessions. If she doesn't know something, she'll look it up and use it as a learning opportunity for us both. Her professionalism and warmth make each session something I look forward to — even during the most complex parts of Step 1 prep. I am already seeing improvements in my performance, reasoning skills, and ability to let go of tough questions and move on—all because of her coaching and support. I will continue working with her for Step 2. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any student, especially those juggling complex circumstances or needing structure, encouragement, and strategy in one person.

Goes Above and Beyond

Maaria is the best. I usually feel insecure about my learning style (I interrupt a lot since I forget quickly) but maaria didn’t make me feel that way at all. She broke down everything down to a fundamental level and continued to build on that slowly throughout her lesson which helped me so much.

🌟 **5-Star Review for My Chemistry Tutor** 🌟

Sure! Here's a polished review you can use for an online chemistry tutor: --- I had an amazing experience learning chemistry with Maaria! She explained even the most complex concepts—like kinetics—in a way that was clear, logical, and easy to follow. What really stood out was how she broke things down step by step and used relatable examples and visuals to make sure I understood each topic fully.
