Hi, my name is Toni. I have been a substitute teacher for the last eight years. During this time I have worked with students in all grades, and all levels of abilities. Most recently I have been working with a student who, due to an illness, has trouble with verbal communication and processing information. Although I have quite a bit of experience in bookkeeping, I feel most passionate about English. I feel that through reading a person can go anywhere he wishes to go; however, I also feel that it is equally necessary to be able to speak and write correctly because a person must be able to convey their thoughts and feelings intelligently.
With all this being said, I also believe that learning should be made as enjoyable as possible. It seems that one of the foremost problems children have in the classroom is boredom. Each student is different; therefore, each student learns in different ways. Hopefully, with a little exploration, we will be able to discover the method of learning that best suits your child.
