From 2016 to 2019, I served as a Math Instructor and Tutor with My Sister’s Circle Mentoring Program in Baltimore, where I provided one-on-one and small-group instruction to middle and high school students in Algebra, Analytical Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. I developed customized lesson plans, tracked student progress, and adapted teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and varying academic levels.
In addition to direct instruction, I collaborated closely with program leadership to support academic growth, confidence-building, and long-term goal setting for young women. My role emphasized not only subject mastery, but also mentorship, accountability, and empowerment.
I later expanded my teaching experience through student-centered educational programming with MedReimagined, where I designed and delivered engaging lessons on foundational medical concepts, including the circulatory and pulmonary systems, to middle school learners. This experience strengthened my ability to translate advanced medical and scientific material into clear, age-appropriate instruction.
Currently, as a board member of My Sister’s Circle, I continue to contribute to educational strategy, curriculum direction, and mentorship initiatives, further reinforcing my commitment to teaching, learning accessibility, and academic development.
