I have taught and tutored math to a wide range of students in public and private schools as well as online, co-ops, and homeschool. I have tutored math students who want practice with the SAT and ACT tests. Studying and tutoring combined, the student can expect an average gain of 25-30 points for SAT and a gain of 2-3 points for ACT. Higher gains are possible, but not likely.

I homeschooled my three children and tested every year with IOWA Test. For K-5, we used Abeka ELA program. We used Institute for Excellence in Writing in Middle/High School. We used Abeka Math K-5, then Saxon Math, and switched to Teaching Textbooks through Precalculus. We used a local co-op for History, art, music, and gymnastics. The IOWA Test revealed a reading comprehension issue in my youngest in Grade 5. We used a Reading Comprehension Grade 5 workbook by Scholastic and my son's reading comprehension improved.

I am certified by FLDOE in math, grades 5-9.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I taught precalculus for three years; my last year was 2016. Since I mostly tutor middle school math through Algebra 2, it's helpful to have the precalculus curriculum or worksheets before the lesson so I can refresh and explain the concepts clearly to your daughter.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I use the official ACT/SAT Math Practice tests to help students prepare for the math portion of these tests. I can supplement with learning strategies for difficult concepts and test taking strategies.

My daughter feels so much more confident and she’s actually studying and practicing more with the tests Karen provided her, without me having to tell her to study!!! Karen is such an amazing, knowledgeable, patient, professional, kind, and a very well organized teacher/tutor! She has helped my son tremendously in Algebra 1 in just a few sessions.
