Hello! I’m Farzana, an enthusiastic math educator with over 15 years of experience. I have worked with students of all ages and ability levels, from elementary school to college. My passion lies in helping students grasp mathematical concepts and achieve their full potential.
I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. After that, I spent 8.5 years as a faculty member at Eastern University, developing and teaching various Electrical and Electronic Engineering courses. This experience sharpened my skills in creating engaging lesson plans, managing diverse classroom dynamics, and mentoring students through complex problem-solving tasks.
I moved to the United States in 2015 and completed my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2019. Following my doctoral studies, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for 3.5 years. I recently relocated to Middletown, DE.
I’m excited to share that I passed the Praxis 5164 exam and am on track to become a certified middle school math teacher in October 2024. I believe that with the proper support, everyone can learn math. I’m patient, understanding, and tailor my teaching style to meet each student’s unique needs. I engage students through guided learning experiences that enhance their mathematical reasoning, deepen their understanding, and boost their confidence.
If you’re looking for a math tutor, I would be honored to help! Thank you.
