Career and Technical Education teacher with over 20 years of experience who enjoys the foundational skills necessary for a host of job opportunities. My specialty is in providing practice with precision measurement, creating engineering graphics, and design skills through hands on experiences. The most dynamic part of what I do is enable clients useful parts that can be 3D printed or manufactured using multiple materials and processes.
Along my career path I became a journeyman machinist before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational and Technical Studies from Old Dominion University. Then after starting a teaching I wento on to earn a Masters degree in Applied Technology in Education from Wilmington University. I taught Drafting and Design, CADD, Materials Processing, and Pre Engineering at 2 Delaware high schools and worked as a chapter and state advisor for both the Technology Student Association and SkillsUSA.
When I retired, I started a non profit educational foundation called the Engineering Concepts Institute. Through ECI I have worked with various home school groups and created and teach an adult education course at a local vocational center. I am a licensed and insured educator.
I prefer working with small groups of students to provide a dynamic and worthwhile learning experience. You can contact me with any questions at [email protected]
