I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (K–6) and a Master’s degree in School Leadership from Wilmington University. I also hold the highest level of teaching certification in the state of Delaware. I have been a dedicated educator for 14 years, teaching both 1st and 5th grade, with the majority of my experience focused on 5th grade students (ages 9–11). I’ve taught in a variety of settings, including public schools, a special needs school, and online through Zoom. My classroom experience includes working with Title I students, where over 50% of my students are English Language Learners (ESL) and many are performing at least one grade level below in reading or math. I have extensive experience teaching in whole-class settings, small groups, and one-on-one formats. My instructional approach includes differentiated instruction, scaffolding, and data-informed teaching to meet each student’s needs and help them grow academically and personally. In addition to my professional work, I also volunteer as a Little League coach, where I support young athletes in building confidence, teamwork, and discipline both on and off the field.

ADHD

ADHD

As both an educator and an individual with ADHD, I bring a unique understanding and empathy to my teaching. I’ve spent over 14 years teaching elementary students—many with ADHD or similar learning needs—in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I use clear routines, multisensory strategies, and scaffolded instruction to help students stay engaged and succeed academically. My personal experience with ADHD helps me connect with students, foster confidence, and build strategies that work for their individual learning styles.
Baseball

Baseball

I bring a strong foundation in baseball with experience playing at both the high school and college levels. I served as team captain and starting shortstop throughout high school and went on to play one year of college baseball. I currently coach youth baseball and have one year of hands-on coaching experience, focusing on fundamentals, teamwork, and skill development. I’m passionate about helping young players grow their game, improve their confidence, and understand the strategy behind each play
Common Core

Common Core

With over 14 years of teaching experience, I have a strong understanding of the Common Core State Standards and how to implement them effectively in the classroom. I’ve worked closely with diverse student populations, including Title I and ESL learners, to help them meet grade-level expectations in both math and literacy. I specialize in breaking down complex standards into clear, manageable learning goals that students can understand and achieve. My lessons are data-driven, engaging, and aligned with the rigor and depth required by Common Core standards.
Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

I have 14 years of experience teaching elementary students across grades 1 through 5, with a primary focus on 5th grade. My background includes working in public schools, Title I settings, and with diverse learners, including English Language Learners and students with special needs. I use a combination of structured routines, differentiated instruction, and engaging content to help students master foundational skills in all core subjects. I’m committed to building strong academic skills and positive learning habits that support long-term student success.
