Charlie S. is a classical percussionist/composer based in New York City. He graduated with honors from The Aaron Copland School of Music in 2007 with a degree in classical/new music performance. He is the co-founder of the Indaba Percussion Quartet and the winner of the Brooklyn International Film Festival's Best Original Film Score (2007) for Body/Antibody.

Charlie has performed with a vast array of world renowned musicians including The Talujon Percussion Quartet, The Ethos Percussion Quartet, vocalist Theo Bleckmann, percussionist David Cossin, saxophonist Antonio Hart, trumpet and jazz arranger Michael Philip Mossman, clarinetist Charles Neidich, violinist Daniel Phillips, flutist Tara Helen O'Connor, French horn player David Jolley, River Guegarian, Ganesh Kumar, and Carlos "Go Go" Gomez, to name a few.
Charlie is currently working as in-house composer for the New York Circus Arts Academy which debuted his original score Takura in March of 2008. He is the drummer for indie rock three piece The Diggs whose sophomore LP Ctrl-Alt-Del (Sugarspun Records) was released in March of 2008.
