Hi! My name is Lucy, and I am looking to tutor mainly elementary school and middle school kids in science, math, and writing. For high schoolers, I help with college essays. In addition to academics, I help with note-taking skills, study skills, and test prep.

I have a degree from Boston University in Human Physiology, and I am beginning medical school in Fall 2026. In college, I was a part of the Dean's List for multiple semesters, made the Patriot League Honor Roll, and the Gamma Phi Beta Honor Roll. I have been a tutor for the last 10 years. I started in eighth grade with my school's tutoring program. Here, I tutored lower school students in a 1-on-1 fashion. We focused on their problem areas, worked through homework, completed practice problems, and prepared for tests. As I got older, I began to tutor middle and high school students, eventually tutoring 9th-11th graders. In college, I restarted tutoring freshmen through a Peer Tutoring program at BU. I aided students in their adjustment to college academics, including content help, time management, grasping the pace of certain classes, and test preparation. My tutoring experience has been a mix of virtual and in-person formats. As a tutor, I welcome any learning styles, study strategies, and I am flexible with timing. I am also willing to work with parents to better understand the goals of each session.

I am currently a medical assistant, and one of my favorite parts of my job is helping patients and families to better understand the scientific concepts behind diagnoses, treatment plans, and procedures. I find it rewarding when mutual understanding is found, and I hope to be able to help you or your child understand every concept as well. My goal is to find fun, innovative ways to learn, even if that means getting creative. Please reach out with any questions!
