My approach to tutoring focuses on creating a personalized and supportive learning environment where each student can confidently understand and apply biological concepts. I use a concept-based teaching method that helps students connect ideas rather than just memorize them. I also emphasize motivation and confidence-building, so students feel encouraged and engaged while developing a genuine interest in science.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh, with a Minor in Chemistry and a Certificate in the Conceptual Foundations of Medicine. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Nursing at Georgetown University. My academic training has given me a strong understanding of biology and chemistry, which I enjoy sharing with students in ways that make complex topics clear and approachable.
For the past four years, I have tutored Biology at various levels and served as a Teaching Assistant for introductory Biology courses for three years. I have worked with students ranging from high school (regular biology, honors, and AP) to college in both one-on-one and classroom settings. Having once struggled with certain scientific concepts myself, I understand how valuable it is to find learning strategies that truly work. My goal as a tutor is to help each student strengthen their understanding, build confidence, and develop the tools they need to succeed in their Biology courses and beyond.
