Writing Tutor with More Than 10 Years of Tutoring Experience

My name is Anna, and I bring over 10 years of tutoring and teaching experience in various capacities. I first started tutoring informally in high school while I nannied, volunteered, and worked in an after-school care program. In college, I received a Level 3 Tutor Certification and tutored traditional and non-traditional college students through my school's Academic Services Center. In grad school I worked as a Teaching Assistant and taught two sections of a course for one semester.

I carry a passion for learning, and I love helping other people connect to their own educational content and passion. I especially love brainstorming ideas with people and helping them articulate their thoughts through writing.

I was selected as a Writing Fellow in college and worked with 8-10 students weekly on writing assignments across a wide range of subjects and writing levels.

One of my primary roles as a Teaching Assistant in grad school consisted of helping students select topics for the class's three required papers, brainstorming content ideas, and refining student's communication of those ideas.

In my career, I've written and published a journal article, co-authored book chapter, blog series, reports, and brief for varying audiences. I also have experience editing book chapters, PhD dissertations, reports, and briefs. Additionally, I was the Grants Manager for a small non-profit and wrote multiple grants each year to fund programs.
