I bring a unique and engaging style of instruction to the teaching environment. My teaching/tutoring methods are geared towards demystifying concepts in human anatomy and physiology to improve learning and academic performance. My teaching methods engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds. I explain and discuss concepts in a clear and concise manner. I train students to use critical thinking to master instruction in human anatomy and physiology.
As a seasoned educator with a Ph.D. in Physiology & Biophysics, I bring a wealth of experience and a diverse teaching background to the Wyzant community. Over the past 20 years, I have taught medical, nursing, graduate, undergraduate, and allied health students. I have provided instruction in cell biology, anatomy and physiology, endocrinology, and pathophysiology.
To enhance academic performance, I assess each student's knowledge base and level of comprehension to tailor tutoring sessions to meet specific needs. Also, I identify pertinent training materials to support and enhance each student's learning experience. My overall goal is to improve academic performance and generate confidence in the subject matter.
