I have taught my whole life starting in my mother's martial arts class and leading all through my doctorate program. During my undergraduate, I tutored both chemistry and biology. Later I would substitute teach for several school systems in Ohio where I grew up in preparation for a trip to Shanghai where I taught mathematics at an esteemed international high school. Several years I worked as a program director for the Boy Scouts of America developing and executing program in many camps across Oregon. My resume also includes program development for the Denver Public Schools and peer tutoring for the National University of Natural Medicine in Anatomy and Physiology, and Pathology. I hold a doctorate in naturopathic medicine, currently awaiting licensure and teaching microbiology and human disease for nursing students and microbial genetics for pre-medical and graduate students.

I have done a great deal of science tutoring establishing creative and proven ways to grasp common challenging concepts that reoccur in scientific material.

I would love to continue my spread of knowledge to help the success of others while continuing to promote my own ability to teach others.

Genetics

I have taught undergraduate and graduate-level Microbial Genetics (400/500 level) at the university level, with experience helping students understand both foundational and advanced genetic concepts in microorganisms. My background includes molecular genetics, microbiology, gene regulation, mutation, horizontal gene transfer, microbial evolution, and laboratory interpretation. I focus on breaking down complex biological systems into understandable, practical concepts while helping students build confidence in scientific reasoning and problem-solving. In addition to teaching, I have experience mentoring students from diverse academic backgrounds, including pre-medical, nursing, and biological science programs.
MCAT

MCAT

I completed my undergraduate in microbiology and have a doctorate in naturopathic medicine. The four years of medical school required for this far exceeds basic biological and other scientific requirements for the MCAT.
