I have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management from Southern Methodist University, but now I have a deep interest in a Masters in Sports Management from the United States Sports Academy. I would like to use my educational experiences and my time playing basketball to help other students athletes prepare for the world ahead of them.
Career preparedness is something that I feel is very important as a future leader in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. As I further my education, there are several skills I need to acquire and refine in order to successfully compete in today’s job market and achieve my goal of becoming an Athletic Director. I know having a degree in Sports Management will add to my skill set and prepare me adequately for that role. I know that I will be successful in the company with such high praise because I value and enjoy learning. I plan to utilize what I learn in the classroom in real life scenarios, and this will increase my value as an employee.
I am currently a Supervisor for Arlington Public Schools Extended Day Program I feel that online classes will work well with my schedule in the Public School System. Also, in order to start my own business in the non-profit sector, I also need to be well versed in communication strategy and digital media.
