Looking to learn more about AI or linguistics? I'm a recent graduate with a PhD in Computer Science from Tufts and a Master of Science in Linguistics from Georgetown. Drawing on these two skill sets, I enjoy preparing students for coursework and competitions in natural language processing, AI, and AI ethics, as well as SAT prep. I particularly enjoy working with students for NACLO (the North American Computational Linguistics Open Competition), which draws on general reasoning and problem-solving skills. If you're interested in a personal research-oriented project in the areas of AI or linguistics, we can work on a tailored project while learning skills and resources along the way.
From my teaching experience as a TA for an on-campus ESL class, I built lesson plans, worked one-on-one with students, and led group discussions. I've also advised students on individual research projects that are more open-ended and tailored to each student's own goals and interests. I've helped students get into their top colleges and score high on the SAT and NACLO competition. That experience, combined with tutoring, has taught me that every student learns differently, and I stay open to feedback from students and parents to keep lessons effective and personalized.
Outside of school, I've privately tutored students from 2nd grade through college in math, English, and SAT prep, and I've spent summers teaching at STEM-focused enrichment camps in New York City.
I look forward to working with you!
