I was extremely fortunate to learn SAS from a very talented group of programmers! Our methods included one-on-one lessons, coaching, classroom instruction, and code-walkthroughs. As I learned SAS and gained problem-solving experience I came to see the wisdom in variety, particularly the opportunities available in the "teachable moment".
