I hold a BA in Economics from NYU and a Master of Public Administration in International Finance and Economic Policy from Columbia University, complemented by certifications from the International Monetary Fund (in macroeconomics) and Google (in Data Analytics).
I am a native Spanish speaker, born and raised in Mexico City, with professional experience across Latin America, the United States, and beyond. I have previous experience tutoring and teaching Spanish to students in high school and college. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to polish your conversational Spanish, I adapt to where you are.
In addition to Spanish, I have also tutored and taught Statistics to college and graduate students. Specifically, I served as a Teaching Assistant for two Quantitative Analysis courses at Columbia University. My responsibilities included leading weekly lab sessions for groups of 20+ students and holding one-on-one office hours covering statistical inference and econometrics. Students consistently appreciated how I broke complex concepts down into something they could actually apply. My approach is to start from what the student already knows and build from there. I would rather ask questions than lecture, and I care deeply about making sure things truly click, not just going over the material.
I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible, and will put the time and effort to help them meet their goals.
