Hello! I'm Cynthia, and I graduated from WashU in St. Louis in 2021 with a 4.0 GPA and a BS in Neuroscience, minor in Spanish. I took two gap years, working as a medical assistant then as a research assistant, before applying to medical school.
I scored 94th percentile on the MCAT, received 13 interviews, and was ultimately accepted to 10 schools out of those 13 interviews. I'm currently a medical student at a top 5 medical school, and I have earned Distinction (scoring >85% across NBME shelf exams) during my clerkship year and scored competitively on Step 2. I am passionate about passing forward the lessons I have learned through the process of applying to and attending medical school! I have worked with many students in essay drafting/editing (AMCAS Personal Statement, W&A section, secondaries, etc.), interview preparation (Traditional open/closed, MMI), medical school application coaching, and NBME/USMLE Step 2 preparation.

I have four years of experience mentoring and coaching student through the medical school application process, particularly for the interview portion. The interview portion is arguably one of the most important aspects of your application, and I am equally qualified and passionate about making sure you come across as your most polished/professional and authentic self. I will work with you one-on-one to craft responses that round out and add depth to your AMCAS application, give specific feedback and examples on how to improve, and help you feel as prepared as possible going into interview day. I'm now a rising M4 at a top 5 medical school. I recognize how difficult the journey to matriculating into medical school is, and I myself learned a lot of lessons the hard way! Ultimately, I was overyjoyed and so lucky to come away from my application cycle with 13 interviews and 10 acceptances, but my experience reinforced my passion for helping others achieve the same success with greater efficiency and support while reflecting their best selves in their applications. I have 4 years of experience reviewing personal statements, work and activities sections, secondaries, and coaching/preparing students for interviews. I'm efficient with edits, and I understand the importance of turning in apps in a timely manner to maximize your chances of interviews and acceptances. My goal is always to get to know who you are/what matters most to you and to ensure you come across to admissions committees as the best version of yourself.
