I am currently a high school physics teacher in DC public schools and am licensed to teach physics in 3 different states (PA, RI, DC).
Before moving to DC, I graduated with a BA in physics and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Brown University.
I worked as a Fulbright ETA in Peru and also tutored IB physics students in Spanish. I am fluent in Spanish and happy to provide bilingual instruction upon request.

I have experience tutoring physics, AP physics, IB physics, math (algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, pre-calculus, and calculus) and ESL for students from Spanish-speaking backgrounds.
My classroom consists of continuous demonstrations, hands-on labs, and real-world applications. Students learn best when they understand the use of what they are learning, and I do my best to bring this to life in teaching and tutoring.
I also enjoy playing soccer, cooking and baking, and playing the guitar, and I try to bring these interests as well as any of my students' own interests into my classroom activities.
