I graduated from Tulane University with a double major in Political Science and Social Policy & Practice, where I developed a strong foundation in academic writing, research, and analytical essays. Professionally, I currently serve as a Communications Director on Capitol Hill and previously worked as a Press Secretary and Press Assistant for multiple Members of Congress. In these roles, writing is at the center of my work—I regularly draft speeches, op-eds, press releases, policy memos, and persuasive messaging, and I frequently edit materials for clarity, structure, and tone.
In addition to my professional writing experience, I have worked one-on-one with students on academic essays, college application essays, resumes, and cover letters, helping them strengthen their writing while maintaining their authentic voice. I’ve worked with middle school, high school, college, and adult learners, and I tailor my teaching style based on each student’s needs. My approach focuses on breaking writing into manageable steps—brainstorming, outlining, thesis development, editing, and revision—so students feel more confident and independent in their writing skills.
