I am currently a J.D. candidate at Howard University School of Law, where I have developed strong analytical, reading, and writing skills through rigorous legal training. I earned my undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of Georgia, which strengthened my ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and approach problems from multiple perspectives. My academic background has equipped me to support students in reading comprehension, writing, and foundational academic skills, as well as early math and science concepts.
I have prior experience working as a tutor at a Kumon Learning Center, where I supported elementary and middle school students in developing foundational skills in reading and mathematics. In this role, I worked one-on-one with students at varying skill levels, helping them build confidence, improve accuracy, and develop consistent study habits.
My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I focus on building a strong foundation while encouraging students to think independently and engage with the material in a meaningful way. I strive to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities. Looking forward to supporting the needs of you and your student today!
