I help ESOL learners, graduate students, and professionals produce clear, well-organized academic and professional writing—whether you’re working on a paper, thesis, application, or report.
Before tutoring, I worked as a research director at the U.S. Department of Education, where I reviewed and edited large-scale research reports. I bring that same focus on clarity, structure, and precision to my work with students.
I hold a PhD in Education Policy, a TEFL certificate, and a Maryland State Teaching License in ESOL and French. I have over 25 years of research and 5 years of teaching and tutoring experience with both secondary and adult learners.
My experience includes teaching adult ESOL at the Washington English Center (Levels 5–8), teaching in Prince George’s County Public Schools, and working one-on-one with international students and professionals.
In our work together, I focus on:
Organizing ideas clearly
Strengthening arguments and support
Improving clarity and flow
Developing revision strategies you can use independently
Live sessions ($75/hour):
We review your writing together, identify key issues, and create a clear revision plan.
Editing & feedback (~$0.07/word):
