Bio

I offer a results-oriented approach to tutoring and test prep. I earned a 35 on the ACT, and my teaching methods focus on reorienting a student's approach: the answer choices were not designed to help you, so successful students must attack each answer choice head-on rather than going fishing for what feels 'right.' I offer a results-oriented approach to tutoring and test prep. I earned a 35 on the ACT, and my teaching methods focus on reorienting a student's approach: the answer choices were not designed to help you, so successful students must attack each answer choice head-on rather than going fishing for what feels 'right.' My focus on high-level performance is also reflected in my current studies at Georgetown University, where I am a rising Junior double majoring in Government and Classical Languages with a 3.91 GPA. Serving as a founding member and Communications Director for LINK Debate refined my ability to teach technical communication while spending two years instructing middle schoolers on the fundamentals of competitive debate to help them overcome socioeconomic barriers.
My background as an educator is defined by a focus on strategy and clear communication, which extends to my approach to chess coaching. As a Chess Coach for The Knight School and the Browning Summer Chess Camp, I have taught both varsity-level students and absolute beginners. My method involves breaking down complex opening puzzles and in-game tactics into digestible, actionable steps during classroom sessions or one-on-one instruction. Beyond technical skills, my several years at 92NY Camp K'ton Ton managing groups of over 20 children taught me to maintain a structured and respectful learning environment. These roles have allowed me to adapt my teaching style across different age groups, from toddlers to high schoolers, ensuring the material remains accessible. By combining rigorous academic standards with years of hands-on teaching, I provide students with the analytical tools necessary to succeed on the board or in the classroom. Whether I am guiding a student through a difficult logic puzzle or preparing them for a high-stakes exam, my goal is to deliver clear, effective instruction tailored to their specific objectives. This experience allows me to switch seamlessly between foundational skill-building and advanced strategic coaching.

Chess

Chess

I work with the Knight School teaching chess after school at local elementary schools near my university. I previously have also taught 1:1. I played competitively throughout elementary and middle school and founded and led my high school's chess club. I trained under International Master Giorgi Bakhtadze.
Debate

Debate

I led my high school debate team to its first-ever national circuit appearance by teaching members to utilize OpenCaselist, build professional-grade briefs and rebuttal blocks, and pre-prep frontline strategies to respond to rebuttals. My competitive background includes winning the American Debate League Tri-State Championship. As the founding Communications Director of LINK Debate, I spent two years teaching middle school students the technical mechanics of Public Forum, including evidence weighing and strategic argumentation. This combination of national circuit experience and formal instruction allows me to coach students to succeed at a high level.

Alongside being a published author in Georgetown University news outlets and a law review journal, I have also written multiple 20+ page papers, including two thesis-style pieces. I have never received below an A on a 20+ page paper, including in multiple grad-level and 4000-level courses.
Latin

Latin

I am studying Latin at Georgetown, and have previously tutored elementary latin students learning the basics of the language. I have sight-read several highly complex texts, including a number of Cicero's most complicated, such as In Verrem, Seneca's Epistulae Morales, Caesar's De Bello Gallico, and more.
SAT Reading

SAT Reading

As a rising Junior at Georgetown University, I have previously tutored students studying for the reading/writing sections on the SAT, ACT, and even the ISEE (New York Private School Admissions Test). I personally scored a 35/36 on the ACT, including perfect scores on the Reading and English sections. I help students improve their reading comprehension by teaching them how to identify main ideas, interpret evidence, analyze passages efficiently, and recognize the patterns behind SAT questions. My approach focuses on developing repeatable strategies rather than memorizing tricks, allowing students to become faster, more confident readers. I also provide targeted practice exercises to reinforce skills and track progress over time.
