I hold a PhD in Econometrics, an MA in Economics, an MBA, and a BS in Biology and Chemistry with minors in Mathematics, Physics, and Biochemistry. My background combines deep quantitative training with real-world business experience as a corporate executive.

During my PhD program at George Mason University, I served as a Teaching Assistant for four years, supporting both undergraduate and graduate courses primarily within the business school. I worked closely with students in economics, statistics, econometrics, and quantitative business courses, helping them break down complex material into clear, manageable steps.

My teaching approach starts with building strong conceptual understanding before moving into formulas and mathematical application. When students understand why something works, the technical details become much easier to master. I focus on helping students develop intuition and confidence so they can solve problems independently rather than simply memorizing procedures.

I tutor economics, general math, statistics, and business-related coursework at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate level. While I enjoy working with students at all levels, I particularly enjoy helping students build strong foundations in quantitative subjects.

I also have extensive experience with Stata and can help students learn the software, interpret results, and apply econometric methods to coursework or research projects.

Outside of tutoring, I’m also a parent who regularly helps my own kids with math and learning, which keeps my teaching style patient, practical, and focused on making difficult ideas accessible.

I earned my PhD in Econometrics in 2025 with my dissertation being a comprehensive quantitative review of criminal sentencing in Virginia and how it relates to judicial and legislative election processes. My field areas included Monetary Theory, Industrial Organization, and Law and Economics. I worked as a TA for 4 years during the PhD program to enable students in the business school to understand basic economic topics. I’m a partner at a large consulting firm running a line of business predominantly focused on software development, operational strategy, and efficiency enhancements. My career has spanned 21 years, of which 17 have been in the consulting field.
